The day you became my "roomie" at Encinitas Nursing & Rehab I knew we were friends forever, despite our 40 plus year age difference. I loved our long talks over morning coffee, our visits when I came back to see you and I will always cherish the moments with you at your bedside right after your surgery. Even in your pain and suffering you managed to smile and give me words of wisdom. I will never forget you Lillian and I miss you my dear!

Friends are the family we choose and Lillian & Pauline chose wisely! They were next-door neighbors who raised their families together.  Little did they know the extended family they would create.  

Lilly was truly my Nonnie's forever friend and a very special person to all of my family.  Time nor distance ever changed that.

George, Lenny, and Mark have my deepest sympathies. To all of Lillian's family - thank you for sharing her with me and my family.

May you rest in peace my friend, Lil.

I will never forget the laughter that came from such a true friendship between Lilly and Pauline (Nonnie). The stories these two had to tell will always be remembered, retold and enjoyed by our families forever, our very own Lucy and Ethel. 

I will cherish the memories of spending wonderful days in her homes, from the Massapequa basement to the Cape Coral kitchen, where Lil was always the hostess with the mostest! She was truly a delight to have in our lives and we always felt like she was part of our family and we were part of hers. 

To all the Altmans, may the love of family and friends carry you through this time of grief and help you celebrate a life well lived. You are all in our thoughts.

Nanny was one special lady and the loss of her is felt by many.  She lived a happy and full life. She will forever be missed but our memories with her will live on within us.

Give poppy a kiss for me. Love you.

Our Lady Lil.... always with a smile and that twinkle in her eyes. Always concerned for other folks and especially her boys. We will miss you but we will never forget the warmth and love you gave us all. One last joke from Lil... "Did you hear the one about the man that drank 5 gallons of tea?"

Mom, you were a mother, a grandmother and great grandmother who lived a fruitful wonderful 96 years and I enjoyed 66 of those lovable, joyous years.
