Narsall Majel Checora, beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin and friend, passed away unexpectedly on May 22, 2020. Narsall was a life-long Valley Center resident, a product of the Valley Center school system and a member of the Pauma Band of Luiseño Indians. At an early age, Narsall displayed sensitivity, curiosity and intelligence. He tinkled on the piano as a toddler, listened to jazz on earphones with an interested but puzzled expression, took piano lessons and later played at some family events. He loved music and could speak at length on his favorite genres and often would sing along to those tunes with lyrics that would often move him to tears. He seemed to have a playlist in his head for any mood he was experiencing. Narsall loved sports early on, playing soccer and baseball for many years and lacrosse and football in high school. People who knew Narsall have describe him as a loving, sweet, generous, funny, and polite young man. And he had a charisma that drew many into his orbit. Others noted his leadership abilities and felt he would one day lead his tribal government. Like anyone else, Narsall had his burdens, but he faced those problems directly and, over time, learned something about himself with every challenge. Narsall had a kind soul and a smile that will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. Rest in peace dear one.
Narsall is survived by his mother Narcie, stepfather Josh, siblings, Mason, Michael, Candace, Helen, Little Josh and Milinda, grandparents Linda and Michael, great grandmother Pauline, many uncles, aunts and cousins as well as a large circle of friends. He also leaves many relatives on his father's side living in Utah. Narsall was pre-deceased by his father Sylvester.
