Peacefully, on Friday, January 10, 2014, age 88, of Etna. Wife of the late Edward Karpinski; loving mother of Ed Karpinski (Judy), Noreen (Tresse) Auber (Bernie), Nancy Cavolovic (Rick) and the late Robert Karpinski; proud grandmother of eight; great-grandmother of 17; and one great-great-granddaughter; sister of Bertha Maciewjski, Stephen Oresic, Edward Oresic and the late Agnes (Pauba) Seabert, Marie Hutchison, Joseph Oresic, Dorothy Ferrar and Harry "Junior" Marshall; also survived by her devoted companion, Champ. Friends received 2-8 p.m. Sunday at the OGRODNIK-HAHN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 333 Butler St., Etna. Mass of Christian Burial Monday 10 a.m. in St. John Cantius Church of St. Juan Diego Parish. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Sharps Hill. Madge worked as the receptionist for Dr. McHugh for many years.
