Rosie Lena Carter

Rosie Lena was born in Leachville, AR and was a member of the Church of Christ there. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry (Bud) Carter; a sister Laverne and a brother Ly-Hew.

Rosie Lena was a strong, hard working woman, who loved her family and friends very much. She was a great homemaker. She designed and sewed clothes from her own patterns. She made beautiful quilts and crocheted afghans for all her children. She cooked for all who came to visit. She spent hours outside in her flower and vegetable gardens.

Rosie Lena is survived by two daughters: Monda Hall and Genola Sattler; two sons Lynn Ray Carter and Gaylon Carter (Marlene). Grandchildren; Deborah Brunton (David), Gayle Schander (Larry), Craig Carter, Kristen DeAranjo (Scott), Cheryl Honour (Tom). Great Grandchildren; Eric (Taunya) Brunton, Aaron (Joy) Brunton, Nicole, Jessica and Brittany DeAranjo, Kelsey and Tyler Carter, Thomas and Analisa Honour, Josh Mlynarski. Great Great Grandchildren; Seth, Luke and Adam Brunton, Emmit, Liam, Morgan and Scarlett Brunton. Many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. Irvine, Deb and Linda for their many years of care. Many thanks to Pacific Rehabilitation and Wellness Centers, staff and caregivers and Dr. Han, for their loving and excellent care she received there.

There will be a visitation at Pierce Mortuary on Monday 2/10 from 10am to 12noon. The funeral service will be held at Ocean View Cemetery later that afternoon at 2pm in the chapel.
