On July 31st, a State Trooper knocked on our door. This knock is going to last a lifetime for us. The trooper said he was sad to inform both Dad and Mom, Gary and Cynthia Cullison, that our son Adam was deceased. Adam lived in Evansville until the age of 14 when he started at Reitz High School. Adam then moved to Kuwait the same year with his parents following their work. He graduated from The American School of Kuwait. He then worked for Combat Associates as a CARC painter of all military vehicles, both wheel and track. During his time in Kuwait, he learned to speak fluent Arabic.
It was time to begin his college; so, he came back to the United States. After 6 months, he wrote his mom the most beautiful, long letter that any mother could wish for. He selected his housing and paid 6 months rent up front, bought a computer, and began attending the University of Southern Indiana. He was a Political Science major. He married Chasity Hertzberger and together they had a beautiful baby boy named Landon Isaac Riaz Khan. At the age of 8 weeks and 4 days, Landon passed away from SIDS. Adam shut down, he grieved and slept for a year. He then attended Ivy Tech Community College. He had decided to do what he loved best -cook and eat. He wanted to be a chef. Adam received several certificates for different areas in the Food Industry. After he tried working at several different businesses, trying to find what he wanted, he began working for Berry Plastics in Evansville. He was happy with his coworkers and especially loved his job.
Adam is preceded in death by his son, Landon Isaac Riaz Khan; great-grandparents, Charles and Catherine (Parson) Johnson; grandparents, Lucky and Mary (Johnson) Powers; great-aunt, Eloise (Joseph) Spivey; great-aunt, Sarah (Parson); great-uncle, Bill Johnson (Geneva); uncle, Dennis Alford; uncle, Brian Davis; and aunt, Lynn Emberson (Davis).
Left behind to cherish his memory are his Dad and Mom, Gary and Cynthia (Joseph) Cullison; cousin, Nancy (Cullison) Quigley; sister, Renee Fisher; former wife and girlfriend, Chasity Khan; nephew, Jordan Fisher; great-nephew, Gavin Fisher; aunt, Cathi (Joseph) Alford; uncle, Steve Joseph; uncle, Paul Davis; uncle, Bruce and aunt, Georgia (Claybrook) Davis; aunt, Pam (Sansing) Davis. He had many cousins who came to our home to play and sleep over as children- Danny and Becki Wolfe, Patrick, Jenny, and Matthew Johnson, JT, Shaun, Jesse, and Steve Joseph, Bryan Davis, Nathan and Holly Davis and Samantha and Kimberly Emberson.
