Aimee M. Leslie

Aimee M. (Duvall) Leslie entered the world with a mischievous look in her eyes and an impish smile. She always said she was a tomboy as a little kid, but really, she just wanted to be a horse. She was a great lover of animals and set about collecting pets (and bugs) at a young age, driving the adults in her life batty.

Music was also always very important to her. She started seeing her life through the music she listened to at a young age, and her popular music knowledge was always impressive.

Aimee was also a people-person. Her friendly attitude and uncanny ability to remember faces and places led her to the hospitality and customer service industries as soon as she was able to work, and she stayed in those positions all her life. This feeling of friendship and service, along with a wicked sense of humor, made her very memorable to most people she met and created amazing friendships throughout her life. Her friendships were very important to her, and she did her best to help the people she cared about whenever she could. A bit of a skater girl when she was young, she developed a more earthy vibe as she got older. She embraced a more holistic way of thinking, collected crystals and rocks, and tie-dyed as many things as possible.

Throughout her life she held many different places in other people’s lives: a mom, a grandma, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, and a friend. She was all of these things, and so much more. She will be missed and often remembered by the people who knew her for the kindness she showed, the laughter she shared, and the shenanigans that often trailed in her wake.

Aimee was preceded in death by her father, Chuck Duvall.

She is survived by her mother, Sue Swope; sons, Logan Lawson, Brayden Leslie, and Levi Houseman; grandchildren, Karson Lawson, Shiloh Lawson, and Annistyn Leslie; sister, Jennifer Duvall; and nephew, Andrew Duvall.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, IN 47714.
