She worked at Welborn Hospital in administration for over 30 years. Alberta was a faithful Catholic. She enjoyed traveling and quilting, and loved playing clabber.
Alberta was preceded in death by her husband, William Paul Bowen; and daughter, Janie Marie Watson.
She is survived by her son, Robert Bowen of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Paul Watson (Lori) of Valdosta, GA, Rob Bowen (Shawna) of Evansville, IN, Stephanie Spradling (Kyle) of Evansville, IN, and Chris Bowen (Amanda) of Henderson, KY; 7 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026 at Alexander Memorial Park.
