Alma Marie Davis, 81, of Evansville, IN passed away Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Solarbron First Senior Living. She was born in Cairo, IL on May 8, 1938 to the late Robert F. Bledsoe and Elizabeth L. (Wienecke) Bledsoe Rowland.
She was a homemaker while raising her children, later sold Avon, then worked at Kirlin’s Hallmark Store where she excelled in customer service. Alma was a true Christian with a sweet soul full of compassion and love for all. Her smile touched many hearts. The world is a lesser place without her in it.
Alma was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Thelbert Lane; brother, Robert D. Bledsoe; sister, Jewel Cline
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Jerry M. Davis of Evansville, Indiana; daughters, Terrie L. Kenoyer (Michael) of Townville, South Carolina; Julia M. Alldredge (Daniel) of Evansville, Indiana, Sandra D. Wenderoth (Kent) of Wadesville, Indiana; son, Christopher M. Davis (Mystie) of Evansville, Indiana; brother, Ronald Bledsoe (Pat) of Batchtown, Illinois; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Solarbron First Senior Living and Kindred Hospice for their care and support.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Alexander Memorial Park Chapel with burial to follow in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday at noon until service time at the Chapel.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
