It's been too many years since I've last seen or spoke to A.J. We hung out at the Community Center after school at Central in those olden days and were friends ever since continuing into our middle adult age. Fate had it where we all go off in other directions and pursue our own lives. I will not forget you A.J. You were a person of integrity and had a pleasant personality...always a joy to be around. You had no malice for no one. I'm just sorry our paths never crossed again. You will be missed. Tom Kerchief

I first meet Jackson when he came to Baker Grade School, he was a new "Cool" like our school had never seen. He will remain in many of our minds the coolest guy to walk those halls. So glad he made it to one of Centrals recent reunions.

AJ was a great man and a good hearted neighbor. He always thought of others before himself. He is loved and will be missed by many. Shannon & Ric Redilla

My brother, sister, and I grew up at the opposite end of the street from his father and mother.  We still remember and talk about "Jackson", Paul, Laura, and Gloria, and the other brothers and family.  Used to love the fireworks on the fourth.  They always put on their own show.  Thanks for your military service.  God rest your soul.

A.J. was a great friend, and we could always rely on him. Anything we needed he was there to help out, all the way around, with the family, the business..just anything. He will be missed, but not forgotten.

My late brother Terry and Jackson were friends for many years.  I know he thought of Jackson as a brother. They had some wild times together. Since my brother's death in 2004 I lost track of Jackson. I am sorry to hear of his death, but now Terry will have his best friend back. My heart goes out to all of his brothers and sisters because I know all too well how sad it is to lose your sibling. You are all in my prayers.

My sister and I grew up with the Ward kids in the Goosetown neighborhood.  We had a lot of fun together back in the day.  I got to see Jackson when his mother died a few yrs ago and that was the first time I had seen him in decades, and he remembered me.  My sympathy to the family.  RIP Jackson.

AJ was a great friend and patriot.I am glad I got to meet him several years ago and I am glad my son became friends with him too.We are sure going to miss you bro!

AJ was such a great person and friend to me.  I have a lot of wonderful memories of him.  He will always be in my heart.

"Jackson" was one of my closest friends in high school, and I admired him so much. I'll never forget all the great times at the Ward home on West Deleware, where all friends were always welcome. I'll always cherish all the great times we shared and all the wonderful memories I have from then. I am so glad I had the opportunity to re-connect with Jackson these last few years. This world will no longer be the same for so many of us who cherised this kind and gentle man. My heart goes out to his brothers, sisters, and other family members during this very difficult time, along with his buddy,Jimmy Litsey. "AJ" touched the lives of so many people and he was as genuine, honest, and loving, as anyone I've ever had the honor of calling my friend. Rest in peace my dear friend.

I met Jackson in high school at Central, and was fortunate to see him only last week. He had a kind and gentle soul, the most beautiful blue eyes and gorgeous smile. I remember how much he loved to dance to the Motown music at the Center. He was loved by so many people, he will be missed greatly. I hope these words bring comfort to his family at this time, Jackson was a very special person. My prayers are with you all.
