Anita Gail Pickerill, 58, of Evansville, IN passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. She was born on May 3, 1961 to John and Mary Lou Barfield.

Anita attended Tri -State Beauty College and owned AJ’s Beauty Salon. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, shopping, playing bingo, anything to do with Mickey Mouse, the Hallmark channel and loved Mt. Dew.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Ricky A. Pickerill; sister, Mary Jane Hedge; nephew, Logan Brown.

Anita is survived by her son, Jason Pickerill; daughter, Brandi Pickerill; grandchildren, Jalee, Kayleigh, Jade, Caydence, Brantley; sister, Patricia Truitt (Bill); brother, John Barfield Jr.; nieces, Samantha Thomson (Tony), Billie Baker, Kimberly Truitt, Fawn Delano (Jimmie); nephews, Larry Hedge (Jessica), Blace Gumbel; great nieces, Destiny Brown, Addison Delano; great nephews, Aidan Delano, and Mason Delano.

Friends may visit 2-8 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Alexander West chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to Vanderburgh Humane Society.
