Anthony “Tony” L. McWilliams, 70, of Owensville, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015, at the Heritage Center. He was born March 19, 1944, in Evansville, to the late Marion Thomas and Cecelia (Mauer) McWilliams.
He served in the U.S. Navy and worked at Ferro Corporation for 29 years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and playing on the computer. Tony was a loving husband, father and grandfather, known to the kids as “Papaw Fishy”.
Tony is survived by his wife, Marsha (Sanders) McWilliams; son, David McWilliams of Huntingburg, IN; daughters, Stephanie Wittmer, Jamie Flick (Tommy) Harris, and Jodi (Mark) Jackson, all of Evansville and Kim (Pat) Brust of St. Phillips; 13 grandchildren; brothers, M.T. (Dottie) McWilliams of Utah, and Roy (Carolyn) McWilliams and Kim (Sharon) McWilliams, both of Evansville; sister, Gayle Houston; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Celebrant Carrie Hatchett. Friends visited Wednesday from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
