He worked as an Installation and Repair Technician for Ameritech retiring after 37 years of service.
Upon learning the truth of God’s Word, Archie dedicated his life to Jehovah God and symbolized his dedication by being baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on June 19, 1960.
After retiring from Ameritech, he devoted his time and energy to being a regular pioneer, a full-time minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 29 years. Archie read his Bible daily and truly loved going from door to door sharing the Bibles hope for the future with people. In addition, he served as an Elder for 66 years in the congregation. Archie also helped to build and maintain Kingdom Halls and served on the Hospital Visitation Committee. Archie sacrificed much of his personal time giving to others, leaving a legacy of good works and close friendships.
Archie and Wervner (Phillips) got married on June 16, 1967, they just celebrated 59 years together in 2026. Once they got married, between them, they faced the challenging task of raising six children together. The kids will tell you that Pa-Pa always made family Bible Study a priority. Archie was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his family as well as taking vacations with them.
All of us will miss Pa-Pa very much. But we look forward to seeing him again on a Paradise earth where sickness and death will be no more. (Revelation 21:3&4)
