Arnold Jobe

He worked as a self-employed contractor and built many homes in Evansville and surrounding communities. Arnold enjoyed gardening and working in his wood and butcher shops. He always had one or more projects going at all times. He loved watching nature from his back porch and spending time with his family. Arnold Jobe was a man of good humor and enjoyed the company of others.

Arnold was preceded in death by his son, Barry Jobe; and daughter, Susan Gowdy.

He is survived by his companion of 34 years, Amber Stuart; daughters, Kathy Conner (Pat) and Ramona Knapp, both of Evansville; son, David Jobe (Penny) of Owensboro, KY; step-children, Travis Clark, Rena Buhmeier (David) and Charles Stuart; 10 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 15 step-great-grandchildren; 1 great, great-grandchild; sisters, Wallen Winstead of Dixon, KY and Columbine Crowley of Hanson, KY; brother, Ashby “Buck” Jobe of Collinwood, TN; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Howell Baptist Church Family Life Center, officiated by Rev. Terry Gamblin. Friends may visit with the family Saturday from 1:00 PM until service time at the family life center.
