Astrid C. "Holly" (Benson) Hudson

Holly’s life was fulfilled by helping others at the Evansville Christian Life Center where she volunteered in the clothing bank for 25 years. While there, she made many wonderful friends. She also previously volunteered at St. Mary’s Hospital Pharmacy. In addition to volunteering, she also enjoyed sewing and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Magna Benson.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Bradford W. Hudson of Evansville; son, Robert Hudson of Evansville; daughter, Susan (David) DeGraffenreid of Newburgh; son, Kenneth (Carol) Hudson of Chandler; son, B. Curtiss Hudson of Milltown, IN; son, Mark (Kailyn) Hudson of Newburgh; her most beloved dog, Harry; grandchildren, Jennifer Garibaldi, Jonathan Hudson, Ashley Pitman, Trey Parker Hudson, Joshua, Zachary and Matthew Hudson, and Jay Simmons; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Mallory Garibaldi, Tesia and Dylan Simmons, and Madison Pitman; brother, Thor Benson of Lake Bluff, IL; sister, Ruth (Jerry) Kos of Chicago, IL; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, August 27, 2012, at Alexander East Chapel, with burial at Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Saturday, 4-7 PM, Sunday 1-7 PM, and Monday 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
