

Avalia worked as a secretary as well as being a stay at home mom for her children. She was a charter member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. Her most favorite hobby was reading. She was a constant visitor at Willard Library from an early age. She also loved cats, especially Bear, Jax, and Sox. Avalia was a wonderful Grandma, her six grandchildren loved being with her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Lutz; father, Gregory Hayden who died in the 1918 flu pandemic; beloved mother, Catherine (Antey) Hayden Wills; step- father, Frank V. Wills; brother, Greg Hayden; and daughter-in-law, Brenda J. Lutz.
Avalia is survived by her three children, Judie Comer (Jack) of Barboursville, WVA, Jane Webster, and Kenneth H. Lutz; six grandchildren, Julie Barter (Sam), Jeffrey Comer, Chris Comer, Jason Webster (Kathy), K.C. Lutz, and Kim Spinks (Dedric); nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Thompson and Helen Turpen; brother-in-law, L. Ray Lutz of Chippewa Falls, WI; and nieces and nephews.
No visitation will be held at Alexander North Chapel. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, July 11, 2012. Father Ted Tempel will officiate.
