

He graduated from Central High School in 1943 and was discharged from the US Navy in March of 1945. He was retired from Whirlpool and bowled for many years on the Whirlpool team. He was a member of Heritage Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, worked in Awana and with The Bus Ministry. He was a sports enthusiast, spending many years as a baseball umpire, and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. He loved his family and loved the Lord.
Glenn was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Margaret Quirey, who passed away in February of 2012; and his parents, Bailey and Eunice Quirey.
He is survived by his sons, Michael (Sandi) Quirey of Elkhart, IN, Alan (Sharon) Quirey of Evansville and Jeff (Tammy) Quirey of Boonville; daughter, Gail (Ron) Huber of Evansville; grandchildren, Michelle Huss, Susan Stewart, Sara Toner, Michael-Jon Quirey, Seth Quirey, Terah Huber, Holly Huber, Amy McCurdy, Hannah Quirey, Andrew Scott, Ange Boyle, Joshua Quirey and Tiffany Quirey; 15 great-grandchildren; caregiver, Yolanda Sears; and lifelong friend, Tommy Rutledge.
Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at Heritage Baptist Church, 1900 South Lodge Avenue, officiated by Pastor Maurice Melton, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, and Tuesday from 9:00 AM until service time at the church.
