She was a member of Mill Road Baptist Church. Barbara enjoyed painting and loved animals. She was an avid boater on Kentucky Lake and enjoyed traveling on bus excursions and spending time in Florida.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Donald W. Rice, and daughter, Gretchen Rice Brown.
She is survived by son, Anthony C. Rice (Colleen), of Dale, IN, and grandchildren, Kelly Marie Rice of Evansville and Samuel A. Rice (Chelsea), of Cincinnati, OH.
Funeral Services will be 10:00AM, Monday, September 19, 2016, at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Rd., officiated by Chaplain Paul DeHart. Friends may visit 4:00 to 7:00PM, Sunday, September 18, 2016 and 9:30AM to service time Monday at the funeral home.
