Betty graduated from Reitz High School in 1949. She worked at Craddock Furniture Co., Seeger-Sunbeam, and Geiger Moving & Storage Co. Betty married Francis E. (Frank) Foster, January 30, 1953. They lived in Flora, IL.for 13 years where he was Controller at Sparton Corp.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile and Daughters of Rebekah. Betty loved traveling to the Black Hills in South Dakota and family gatherings, cookouts and bonfires. She also loved cats and the otters at the zoo.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank of 40 years; siblings, Juantia Garwood, Curtis (Doug) Garwood, Laura C. Ogura, Izetta Jean Winstead, William Garwood, and infant sisters, Wanda Louise and Virginia Lee.
She is survived by a daughter, Judith A. Garwood (Richard); son, Jeffrey Foster; and granddaughter, Jodie L. Fehd (Adam).
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Alexander West Chapel with Curtis C. Garwood officiating. Burial will follow at Alexander Memorial Park. Family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the chapel. The service will be live-streamed at www.Facebook.com/FuneralStreamUSA.
