

Betty graduated from Mater Dei High School. She worked as a baker at Weinbach’s Cafeteria for over 25 years. Betty was an accomplished bowler and participated in a league at Diamond Lanes. The Girl Scouts were a big part of Betty’s life. She was a long-time Troop Leader and helped the organization in many ways- with everything from cookie sales to even traveling to Hawaii with her troop.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mary Spalding; and her sister, Mary Margaret Pountain.
Betty is survived by her brother, Richard “Rick” P. Spalding; nephews, Brian Pountain, Jason Pountain, Ricky Spalding and Billy Spalding; niece, Joni Cundiff; great nephews, Drew and Isaiah Pountain, Jaidon Clark; and great nieces , Danika and Brooklyn.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 6, 2025 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, Evansville, IN, followed by burial at Alexander Memorial Park.
Family and friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 5, 2025 and again on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
