Bettye Louise Kraft, 77, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2012, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was born February 28, 1935, in Evansville, to the late Adam and Ida Mae (Harper) Kraft.
She worked as a Nutritionist for Purdue University Area Extension for 17 years and had also worked at Work-One, SWIRCA, Evansville Blind Association and the Alzheimer’s Foundation. She had been a member of New Hope Baptist Church and enjoyed working puzzles and traveling.
Bettye was preceded in death by her son, Tony Kraft; three brothers; and two sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Sondra Hopson Smith, Debby (Penny) Winston, Toneka Bradley and Octavia Kraft Drayton; sons, Issac and Lyndon Kraft; 16 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.
No services will be held. Friends may visit Friday, September 7, 2012, at Alexander East Chapel from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
