Bobby "Bob" K. Nicholson

Bobby “Bob” Keith Nicholson, 93, of Evansville, IN passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at the Evansville Protestant Home. He was born on July 4, 1931 in Evansville to the late Charles R. and Margaret (Hartig) Nicholson.

Bob was the Owner and Operator of Dynamechs Inc. for 30 years and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Darmstadt. He was a proud US Navy Veteran and served during the Korean War as an airplane mechanic aboard the aircraft carrier, The Midway. Bob enjoyed motocross racing with his son and delighted in watching races. He was very devoted to volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and was involved with the organization for many years. Bob loved golfing and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Shirley Jean (Whitledge) Nicholson; brother, Bill Nicholson; and sister, Peggy Callis.

Bob is survived by his son, Rex Nicholson; daughter, Leslie Flittner (Larry); sister, Alice Ann Jones; grandchildren, Samantha Ward (Steven) and Andi Flittner; great-grandchildren, Charlie Ward, Beth Ward, Daniel Ward, and Myles Ward.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 10, 2025 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Rd, Evansville, IN 47711. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church Darmstadt, 1401 W Boonville - New Harmony Rd, Evansville, IN 47725 with Pastor James Glowinski officiating. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity, 560 E Diamond Ave, Evansville, IN 47711.
