Obituary of Bonnie L Barnett
Bonnie Lou Barnett, 87, of Evansville, Indiana passed June 18th 2022. Mom was born October 21st, 1934 to Tal Calvin Barrett and Sibil May (Frame) Barrett West, in Evansville Indiana. She was the second of five children. She spent her childhood in Evansville. She married Jesse Thomas Barnett Jr May 5th 1953 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. They welcomed 5 children in the next ten years. She supported Dad in his career in the United States Air Force. They moved and traveled to different Air Force bases for the next 25 years. Mom loved her family and always told us how proud she was of all of us. She was quick witted, had a good sense of humor, and was a great cook. They moved back to Evansville in the fall of 1977 after Dad retired. She worked for Snap photo (Qualex) for 20 years and retired from there. She was easy going, and yet a rock for all of us. We will miss you and we will love you forever. What a sweet reunion it must have been Saturday morning. Bonnie is survived by her children Herb (Dolores) Barnett of Missouri, Laura (Mark) Miller of Utah, Rhonda (Clay) Francis of Utah, Jimmie (Norma) Barnett of Indiana; 9 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Whoeler and Sandy Meyers; and brothers; Calvin Wayne Barrett. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, daughter (Elizabeth Ann Wales), 2 grandsons Christopher Patrick Wales, and Clayton George Francis; parents; brother, Daniel Barrett; sister in law, Pam Barrett; and brother-in-law, Robert Henson. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday June 25, 2022 at Alexander North Chapel, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. We would like to thank all of Mom’s health care providers along the way and the wonderful people at Deaconess Hospice. Condolences may be made online at www.AlexanderNorthChapel.com
