Brenda Joyce Bosecker Cadiz, KY formerly of Evansville, IN

Brenda Joyce Bosecker, 72, of Cadiz, KY, lost her fight with cancer on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at home. She was born on October 30, 1946 in Leesburg, LA to Bennie and Betty Newman.

Brenda graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1964. Brenda worked for Red Spot Paint from November 1984 until she retired in August, 2007 as their Human Resources Manager. During her working career, she was active in the Evansville Human Resources Association as a board member and in 2004 she was named the EHRA Professional of the Year. She also participated in the Tri-State Business Group on Health and the Evansville Wage and Hour Group. Brenda enjoyed basketball in high school and bowling her entire life. After retiring and moving down to Barkley Lake, she enjoyed quilting, fishing and participating in Red Hats, and the Kentucky Homemakers Association of Trigg County. She held various offices and positions in these organizations and donated numerous volunteer hours through these clubs. Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Bennie Newman; mother, Betty Newman Reinitz; stepfather, Don Reinitz; brother, Darrell Newman; sister, Jennifer Murphy; and sister, Tammy McCarty. She is survived by her husband, Larry of over 53 years; daughter, Laney (Chris) Ford; son, Neil (Cheryl) Bosecker; one beloved granddaughter, Maggie; sister Robin Abbot of Owensville, IN; brother, Brett (Tina) Newman of Mt. Vernon, IN; sister-in-law Susan Newman, of Mt. Vernon, IN; brother-in-law Keith Murphy of Mt. Vernon, IN; half-brother, Benny Ray Newman, of Eldorado, IL; stepsister, Donna Reinitz Curtis; stepbrother, Jim (Cinda) Reinitz of Mt. Vernon, IN; and brother-in-law, Terry (Janet) Bosecker of Gillette, WY. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Immanuel UCC, 5812 Ford Road, Mt. Vernon, IN. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, Evansville, IN and from 2:00 pm until service time on Sunday at the church. Brenda will be missed ,l remember when she lived in our neighborhood. We were both about 7years old an was a good friend then ,Brenda didn't have a bad thing to say about anyone ,always was loving,a big heart .my prayer is for her family at this time.!!!
