Obituary of Brian Frederick Hayes
Brian Frederick Hayes, 61, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020 at his home in Wadesville, Indiana. He was born in Evansville to the late Frederick “Fred” and Geraldine “Gerry” (Koch) Hayes. He was a graduate of North High School. Brian worked as a machine operator at Koch Originals for 32 years before returning to school to complete the HVAC tech program at Ivy Tech. Following his certification, he worked as a maintenance technician for several companies in the Evansville area. Brian was a loving husband and father with a kind and generous heart. He loved sharing his world-famous fudge, biscuits and gravy, fried chicken and tomatoes with his friends and loved ones. He also enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening, working on cars, vacationing in Panama City Beach with family, and action movies. Brian spent many years actively involved in his church through his service as a music director and van driver, and through the Safe House outreach ministry. He had a great sense of humor and could always make people laugh. Brian is survived by his wife, Kimberly “Kim” (Farney) Hayes; daughters Christina “Tina” (Colin) Ward and Susan (Zack) Hayes; granddaughter, Juniper Ward; sister, Jacqueline “Jackie” (Lee) Richardson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 16, 2020 at Alexander North Chapel with a short funeral immediately following, officiated by Pastor Steve Phipps.
