

Carolyn graduated from Mater Dei High School, Class of 1955. She worked at Whirlpool for over 30 years before she retired. Carolyn loved to travel to Florida with friends. She enjoyed scrapbooking, collected carousels and was an animal lover. Carolyn loved spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Vera Roedel; the love of her life, Don Drury; sisters, Shirley DeHaven and Arlene Horton; and brother, Jerry Roedel.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Shari Weinzapfel (Mark); grandchildren, Olivia Lancaster (Ben), Adam Weinzapfel (Chelsea), Roman Weinzapfel (Jada), Dalton Weinzapfel (Hailye), and Cameron Weinzapfel (Embree); great-grandchildren, Jack Lancaster, Vera Lancaster, Elsie Lancaster, Nori Weinzapfel, Gordon Weinzapfel, and Warren Weinzapfel; special friend, Jan McReynolds; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Barb Roedel and Elizabeth Drury; and brother-in-law, Don Horton.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025 at Resurrection Catholic Church, 5301 New Harmony Road, Evansville, IN officiated by Father Jerry Pratt, followed by burial at Alexander Memorial Park.
Friends and family may visit Thursday, September 25,2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, Evansville and again on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
