Carolyn June Kirby

Carolyn retired from Hillcrest as a caregiver for over 30 years. She was a member of Mill Road Baptist Church. She had a variety of hobbies- loved to play bingo, crochet, play pool and throw darts. For the last part of her life, Carolyn lived for her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Slayton; brother, Thomas Slayton; son-in-law, James Glenn.

Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Delana Glenn, Derrinda Williams (Seth), Darise Guynn; grandchildren, Kasey Wilson (Cameron), Kyle Glenn, Tyler Glover (Chelsie), Kinzie Williams (Alex), Emma Williams (Bradley), Brian King and Trenton Givens; great grandchildren, Sofie Wilson, Caroline Glover, Levi Gelhausen, Audrey and Avacyn Ibarra and Alexys Miller; brother, Robert Slayton (Charlene) of Vincennes, IN; sisters, Mary Stokes (Lonnie) of Rustburg, VA, Janet Bumpus of Paducah, KY; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Alexander West Chapel officiated by Pastor Ben Russell. Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
