Allen was a member of the American Legion. He was a sales representative with Sysco.
He was preceded in death by his son, Larry Allen Boyken; brother, Larry Boyken; sisters, Alice Cornett, Lynn Guy, Lucile Hoff, and Louise Seifert.
Allen is survived by his daughters, Tina Hilbig and husband Bryan, and Charmae Boyken; son, Bradley Boyken and wife Kim; nephew, Herschel Seifert and other nieces and nephews; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Sunset Memorial Park. The Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans’ Memorial Club will perform a graveside military rite.
