Charlene O. Krieg

IN THE CARE OF
Alexander Funeral Home - North Chapel
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Charlene on, Nov. 10th, 2021 at the age of 93. Our loving and devoted mother and friend to all whose lives she touched. Charlene had a full life as a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Homemaker.
She was born in Wetumka, Oklahoma but grew up in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas where her father was a cotton farmer. Times were tough on a cotton farm and her daily chores consisted of picking cotton, pumping water and gathering kindling for the cook stove. At age 12 she moved to Evansville. She loved Evansville and was proud to call it home.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and raising plants. Her sense of humor, passion for dancing and music insured long lasting memories for everyone around her. Charlene was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Order of Owls and Riverbend association.
Most of all, she loved her family and took great pride in providing a consistently beautiful and welcoming home for all of them to return to. She was a classy lady, lover of life, compassionate, giving and the matriarch that always brought the family together. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts!
Friends are invited to share their memories of Charlene with family during visitation at Alexander North, 4200 Stringtown Rd, Tuesday, November 23, from 4pm to 7pm.
A celebration of Charlene’s life will be held at Heritage Chapel, Alexander Memorial Park, 2200 Mesker Park Dr.at 11:30 am on Wednesday, Nov. 24th.
