Charles A. Briel

He was a 1942 graduate of Central High School and a 1955 graduate of Indiana College of Mortuary Science. For over 50 years he served several funeral homes in Indiana, retiring from Alexander Funeral Home after 36 years of service. He was a US Army WWII Veteran and was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church.

Charles was preceded in death by the love of his life, Rosemary Briel, whom he married in 1946; parents; and brother, Alfred Briel.

He is survived by his children, Maryann (Akira) Mori and Charles R. (Penny) Briel; grandchildren, David and Katy Briel, Alex, Kennedy, and Natasha Rose, Christi Johnson, Aaron, Carla, Rachel, and John Alldredge, and Laura Roblero; 13 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, August 3, 2015, at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 6501 Madison Avenue, officiated by Rev. Robert Schneider, with burial in Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, and Monday from 10:00 AM until service time at the church.

The family would like to thank Dan and Jennifer Alldredge, Keala Alldredge Pollock, and Dawn Priest for their love, concern, and support for Charles.
