

He was a Journeyman for Iron Workers Local #103 and a World War II US Air Force Veteran. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #64 F. & A.M., Hadi Shrine and the Owls. He loved to be with his family and friends, playing poker and being at his grandchildren’s sporting events.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, in 2004; brothers, Bill and Ed Barnett and James Billings; and sisters, Eston Laser, Marie Garrett and Wilma Weston.
He is survived by his daughter, Lynnette (David) Young of Tell City; sons, Kenny (Bonnie) Meier of Louisville, KY and Randy (Gwen) Moore of Evansville; grandchildren, Barry, Nick, Kenny and Lisa Meier of Wilmington, NC, Christy (John) Harris of Mt. Vernon, Barbie Meier of Evansville, Jerod (Jesika) Young of Cold Spring, KY, Drew Young of Harrison, OH, Chaz and Chelsea Moore of Evansville and Beth Majors of Newburgh; great-grandchildren, Bo, Seth and Luke Harris of Mt. Vernon, Nicole and Haylea Sullivan, Adam Meier, Tyler and Travis Butler, all of Wilmington, NC, Clarie Young of Cold Spring, KY and Tara Majors of Newburgh; great-great-grandchild, Abigail Sullivan; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 12:00 PM Thursday, November 17, 2011, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Andy Payton, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, with a Masonic Service by Masonic Lodge #64 F. & A.M., and Thursday from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
