He was retired from the United States Marine Corps and a member of the Disabled American Veterans and Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Charles is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lora Ann Raymer; sons, Charles W. Jr. and Michael D. Raymer; daughter, Debra Sue Wilcher, all of Hopkinsville; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 920 Skyline Drive, officiated by Rev. Greg Giltner, with burial in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with Military Honors. Friends may visit Wednesday from 9:00 AM until service time at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church or the American Diabetes Association.
