

Charlotte Elaine Evans, 81, of Evansville, has gone home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at Deaconess Gateway. She was born November 22, 1935, to the late Russell and Martha (Schulte) Kingsbury.
Charlotte was a 50+ year member of Eastern Star. She had volunteered at Vann Avenue Baptist Church as a GA leader. Charlotte was a patient of the Shriner’s Hospital in St. Louis where she met Bing Crosby. She loved to dance and enjoyed traveling. Charlotte was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Evans, second husband, Charles Frederick, and sisters, Doris Jean, Pat and Connie, and brother, Charles.
Charlotte is survived by her children, Cindy Orange (Rev. Sherman), Harold Evans (Beth), Rance Evans (Brenda) and Charla Taylor (Mike); grandchildren, Jason Orange (April), Rachael Orange, Angel Orange, Sarah Warycha (Jeff), Andrew Evans (Fiancé Rachel), Emily Evans, Rance Evans (Cydney), Spencer Evans (Kelly), Chase Evans (Mattie), Sophia Evans, Chasity Taylor, Michael Taylor and Nicholas Taylor, Jessica Ellison, Jamie Pate; great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Landon, Kennedy, Kinley, Scarlett, Jaxon and Jayden.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Pastor Jeffrey Stratton, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM and Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the staff on the sixth floor Oncology Unit at Deaconess Gateway for their compassionate care of Charlotte.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children in St. Louis, MO.
