Charlotte Lurker

She was a homemaker for many years and later in life worked at the gift shop at Welborn Hospital and then St. Mary’s. Charlotte also enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially bus trips and was a wonderful cook. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon and the Farm Bureau Refinery Ladies Auxiliary. She spent 30 years with the Girl Scouts of America and was an avid doll collector.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Carl Lurker; brothers, Clinton Goodwin and Walter Goodwin; sister, Brenda Walton; half brother, Jim Duley; great-grandchild Lilian Duckworth; and son-in-law, Craig Price.

She is survived by her daughters, Carla Price, and Cherie Johnston; son, Chris (Sam) Lurker; Grandchildren, Curt (Hillary) Duckworth, Tim (Heather) Duckworth, Sarah (Tristian) Riggin, Brandon (Tristen)Troxell; great-grandchildren, William Duckworth, Audrey Duckworth, Clara Duckworth, Kaley Duckworth, Rhett Duckworth, Taya Troxell, and Jax Troxell.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Alexander Memorial Park cemetery chapel, 2200 Mesker Park Dr., Evansville, IN. Friends and family may visit at the cemetery chapel on Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
