Cheryl Beth (Dellinger) Harper, 75, of Vincennes, Indiana, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. She was born on August 1, 1949, in Vincennes to the late Ethel Mae (Hatton) Dellinger and Leo Francis Dellinger Sr.
Cheryl was a strong, spirited, and fiercely independent woman who believed she could do anything—and often did. In her younger years, she attended both the Police Academy and cosmetology school, ultimately finding her passion in the beauty industry. She worked for many years as a hairdresser before proudly owning and operating her own nail salon, "Attitudes," where she brought beauty and confidence to many.
Above all, Cheryl was a devoted mother and cherished "Grammy's" whose love and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her devoted and loving daughter, Stephanie “Hope” York; three adored grandsons, Hunter Blake Lovell, Lucas “Luke” Chance Lovell, and Phoenix Timothy Dees; son-in-law, Jay Lovell; her brother, Robert Joseph (Karen) Dellinger; and sisters, Patricia Mae Waid, Nancy Winifred (Tom) Noffsinger, and Tamara Lynn Fleury.
She was preceded in death by her daughters, Brooke Lovell and Leslie (Courter) Nolan Gill; her brother, Leo Francis Dellinger Jr.; and her sister, Doris Jean Adams.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, Evansville, Indiana.
