Christie Willett

She was a member of Forest Hills Wesleyan Church and dearly loved her Church Family and her Pastor. She was devoted to her family and friends and especially loved Marilyn Gregory and Brenda Margold and held them close to her heart!

Christie was very proud of her children; Brandie who was there for all 5 years of her battle with cancer and pulmonary fibrosis, and who became a strong self-reliant woman; and her son, Joseph “Joey,” who she survived long enough to see retire from the U.S. Army with honors after 20 years and 5 combat tours.

Family members who went before her to God are her mother, Martha Joan Phillips; step-father, Robert A. Phillips; father, James O’Bryan; sister, Sherry Lynn Stevenson of Kingsville, MO; brother-in-law, Jackie Dean Stevenson of Kingsville, MO; sister, Robin Jean Market; brother, Robert Mark Phillips; and brother, Kerry Whane Phillips, who gave his life in Vietnam in 1970.

Christie is survived by her husband of 43 years, Joseph Edward Willett, II, the couple met at 15 years old; daughter, Brandie M. Cash of Evansville and grandson, Hunter AJ Cash; son, Joseph Edward Willett, III of Phenix City, AL and wife Brandi and granddaughters, Savannah and Devon; sisters, Connie Sue Miller of Tampa, FL and her husband Tomas, Teresa Joan Bunch of Hartford, KY and her husband Billie, Mary Lee Phillips of Evansville and her partner, Don, Melissa Bradley of Evansville and her husband, Ivan; and former brother-in-law, Carl Joseph Market.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Forest Hills Wesleyan Church.
