Christina Tina Anne Marshall Blackburn

Christina “Tina” Blackburn, 54, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at her home. She was born on April 27, 1957 in South Bend, IN. Tina faithfully served as a Pastor’s wife for 32 years. She taught for Child Evangelism Fellowship. She also taught children’s church and Sunday school wherever her husband was ministering. She loving supported her husband as he pastored in Shawsville, VA; Fort Wayne, Fowler, Lafayette, and Vincennes, IN. Tina most recently served at Northeast Park Baptist Church. She attended Moody Bible Institute and graduated from Grace College. She is survived by her husband, John C. Blackburn; father, Larry D. Marshall; mother, Joyce Sowers; step-father, Randy Sowers; brothers, Larry Marshall, Kerry Marshall, Kevin Marshall (Sherilyn), Mark Marshall (Jackie), and Scott Marshall; sisters, Susan Marshall, Donna Marshall, Diana Cook (Gary), and Julie Helfrich (Jason); sister-in-law, Becky Parrott (Larry); nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, February 27, 2012 at Northeast Park Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Steve Taylor. Friends may visit Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Alexander North Chapel and on Monday from 9:30 am until service time at the church.
