Christine Ann Schuster

Christine Ann Schuster, 49, lost her battle with cancer on October 24 at the John & Betty Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville, Indiana.

Christine enjoyed life in every way. Whether it was attending events at the Germania Maennerchor, riding in her convertible, vacationing in Maui, spending time with friends & family, tutoring students, scrap booking her memories or just working at her job – it was all a part of life that she loved!

Christine was born in New Kensington, Pennsylvania on October 6, 1961 to Edward & Patricia Uptegraph Hansotte, She attended Burrell High School in the neighboring city of Lower Burrell. After high school, Christine went to Penn State University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. Later, she obtained her MBA from Keller Graduate School of Business / DeVry University in Chicago. Christine was married to Ralf in New Kensington, PA on May 28, 1994.

Christine’s education landed her many awards at several employers throughout her career. Employers included: ENSR Consulting in Pittsburgh, PA, US Steel in Gary, IN, and Cargill in Hammond, IN just to name a few. She moved to Evansville in June 2006 to take a position as a Senior Environmental Engineer with GE Plastics which later became SABIC Innovative Plastics in Mt. Vernon, IN.

Christine is survived by her husband Ralf of 16 years. Her parents Edward & Patricia Hansotte of Natrona, PA; her sisters Michelle (Mark) Marietti of Lower Burrell, PA and Lynda (Kevin) Dugan of Cheswick, PA; nieces, Erin Marietti and Sarah Dugan; and nephews Andy Marietti, Kenny Dugan, and Stefan Schuster of Springfield, OH; Mother-in-law, Eveline Schuster of Evansville. Aunt, Martha Hansotte of Washington, PA.

Visitation and a memorial service will be held at the Simpson Methodist Church in Evansville at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or Gilda’s Club. Both in Evansville.
