Clara M. Pease

Clara Mae Pease passed away peacefully in Kalamazoo MI at the home of her daughter and with her daughters by her side on January 15, 2013 at the age of 81. She was born in Evansville, IN, on November 3rd, 1931 to the late Maewood (Sartore) Bays and Clarence Bays.

She was united in marriage on January 3rd, 1953 to her loving and devoted husband, Mark Henry Pease who preceded her in death on October 18, 2011. Also preceding her in death was her brother, Gene Bays, sister, Margaret (Bays) Gambrel and special cousin, Robert (Bob) Wayne.

Clara leaves behind her daughters, Claire Anne Pease (Timothy) Minor, Karen Pease and her partner Robin Warden. Also surviving are her granddaughters, Sara Marie Minor, Lauren Adelaide Minor, grandson Mark Henry Pease Warden and great grandson, Jacob Craig Minor as well as many special nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Clara had a great sense of humor. She loved life, her family, friends and special dog, Lily and spread her infectious love of fun and adventure to anyone she met. She brought joy to many and will be missed by all.

Services will be 9:30 AM, Saturday, January 19, 2013, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Father Bernie Etienne, with entombment at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday, 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
