Clarence "Tee" I. Johnson

Clarence “Tee” I. Johnson, 88, of Owensboro, KY, formerly of Evansville, passed away July 23, 2014, at his home. He was born June 22, 1926, in Evansville, to the late Earl L. and Mildred E. (Grigsby) Johnson.

He retired from International Steel after 40 years and served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a life member of VFW Post #1114 and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed ballroom dancing, fishing, camping, boating, and gardening.

Tee was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Jeanette Johnson; parents; and sister, Janiece Pierce.

He is survived by his sons, Larry (Connie) Johnson of Owensboro, KY and Jerry Johnson of Davenport, FL; grandchildren, Carah (Josh) Maze, David (Karissa) Johnson, Lori (Justin) McFarland and Kristina Porter; great-grandchildren, Tristan and Corbin Maze, Blake, Emma and Wil Johnson, and Celeste and Jude Porter; and sister, Sharon File of Evansville.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Alexander West Chapel, with burial in Lutheran Cemetery with Military Honors. Friends may visit Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Saturday from 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
