

Clifton R. Seltzer, 83, of Evansville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Heritage Center. He was born June 14, 1932, in Gibson County, to the late Hilbert and Frieda (Niederhaus) Seltzer.
He was a very proud graduate of Purdue University and retired from Alcoa as a manager after 30 years. He was also a lifetime farmer; his passion was his family, his church, and his farm. He was known as “Mr. Muscle” to his family. He was a long time member of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer.
Clifton was preceded in death by his step-granddaughter, Kristy Kelley.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Jolene (Fetter) Seltzer; daughter, Donna (Walter) Harris; sons, Clifton David (Patricia) Seltzer and Bryan (Mary) Seltzer; step-children, Tony (Coleen) Scales, Todd (Kathy) Scales, Brad (Donna) Scales, and Tracy (Kevin) Devoy; grandchildren, Candice (David) Pitney, Cassandra (Brent) Laurenti, Devon (Jacob) Schlottman, Jason Seltzer, and Miles Seltzer; step-grandchildren, Ashley Strouse, Allie Scales, Caroline Scales, Andrew Scales, Lori Brown, Kyle Scales, and Adam Lohr; 18 great-grandchildren; and brother, Carl (Charlotte) Seltzer.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, July 13, 2015, at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 1811 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Rev. Dr. Thomas Wenig, with burial in Lutheran Cemetery, Lynnville, IN. Friends may visit Sunday from 1:00 to 6:00 PM at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue.
