Obituary of Clyde A Broderhausen
Clyde A. Broderhausen, 71, of Evansville passed away Sunday May 8, 2022. He was born June 7, 1950 in Evansville to the late Edward and Dorothy (Hoffherr) Broderhausen. He lived in his family home until 2019, when he moved to North River Health Campus. Clyde began working with the Gibson County ARC in 2008. He was awarded Spotlight of the Year in 2015 and was Worker of the Month many times. He was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church and faithfully attended Bible class. Clyde was also a member of the 4H and helped at the fair every year. He loved his neighbors and enjoyed visiting with them. He enjoyed having his photo taken, helping out on the family farm, and bowling. Clyde loved the activities at North River, particularly Bingo. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother in law, Julius “Bud” Schlumpf. Clyde is survived by his sister, Carol Schlumpf, affectionately known as “My Boss”; niece, Maria Gilles (Adam); nephew, Mark Schlumpf; great nephews, Owen and Rhett Gilles; as well as many cousins and close friends who were like family. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday May 12, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church of Darmstadt, officiated by Pastor Stan Temme. Friends and family may visit Wednesday May 11, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Alexander North Chapel and Thursday May 12, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Trinity Lutheran. The family would like to thank the staff at the Gibson County ARC and North River for their care and kindness. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gibson County ARC.
