Cynthia Corrine Lefler

Cynthia Corrine Lefler, 62, of Flora, IL passed away Friday, November 21, 2014 at Deaconess Gateway Heart Hospital. She was born February 21, 1952 in Evansville to the late Lucille and John Lefler, Sr.

Cynthia was a gifted musician, playing piano and singing at Free Methodist Churches, as well as other events. She had a love for children and ran her own day care for many years, and was a CNA at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, IL. She was a member of the Lawrenceville, IL Free Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jones, and her parents, Lucille and Rev. John Lefler, Sr.

Cynthia is survived by her daughters, Christina Griesemer of Greenville, IL, Vicki Koita (Seydi) of St. Louis, MO, and Tricia (Charlie Colclasure) Griesemer of Flora, IL; grandchildren, Calvin Colclasure, Adalynn Colclasure, Brayden Colclasure, Rosalie Koita, and Bata Koita; brothers, John (Sandy) Lefler of Planfield, IN and Mark (Jennifer) Lefler of Kokomo, IN; sister, Lori Butler of Smyrna, GA; aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews; many cousins; and, her husband of 40 years and the father of her children, Wesley Griesemer of Olney, IL.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, November 24, 2014 at Melody Hill Free Methodist Church, 5600 Ward Road, Evansville, IN 47711, with Rev. John Lefler officiating, and burial following in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Monday 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the church.
