Daniel A. Fulkerson

Daniel A. Fulkerson, 83, of Evansville, IN, passed away Friday, March 28, 2014, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, with his family by his side. Daniel was born February 7, 1931 in Evansville, IN.

He retired from Whirlpool in 1989. Daniel was an avid golfer. He loved playing pool and cards with his long-time buddies. He was a devoted husband and father. Daniel built his life around his family and friends, and his deep love, strength and integrity will greatly be missed.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Travis and Francis Fulkerson; brothers, Travis, Donald, Jimmy and Earl; and sister, Virginia.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 61 years, Fayetta Fulkerson; daughters, Diana (Ralph) Mongeau, Valerie (Dennis) Waddle, Daniel (Kathy) Fulkerson, Teresa (Dave) Grossman; sister, Dorothy Lamar; grandchildren, Ginger, Dale, Jason, Nicole, Jennifer, Brian, Michael, Josh, Micah, Candace, Ben, Anna and James; great-grandchildren, Jade, Corbin, Jasmine, Milly, Trinity, Daniel, Corinna, Brody, Ava and Kasher.

The family would like to thank Dr. Selby and Carolyn for the extraordinary care and kindness given to Daniel.

Services will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, March 31, 2014, at Alexander East Chapel, with burial at Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit 3-7 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
