Danny Ray Atchison

Danny Ray Atchison, 55 of Evansville, IN passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. He was born in Sterling, IL on January 26, 1963 to the late Richard and Mildred (Malone) Atchison. Danny was very involved in the community and never knew a stranger. He was a member of the West Side Nut Club, Evansville Boat and Ski Club, Senior Steward of the Masonic Lodge #64, Hadi Shrine and lifetime member of the Riverbend. Danny also did volunteer work with the Dream Center of Evansville. He was an employee of David Enterprises. Danny is survived by his wife of 21 years, Marilyn (Oeth) Atchison; children, Doug DeLong, Jared DeLong ( Andrea) of Evansville, IN, Michael Atchison of California, Audra Murphy (Bret), April Robling; sister Pat Atchison (Duane Smith) of Evansville, IN; brother Richard Atchison (Joan) of Rock Falls, IL; sister Debbie Cheek (Bob) of Eldorado; grandchildren, Tori and MJ Atchison, Wade Murphy (Skye), Jessica Hiland (Brandon), Emma Robling, Hannah Robling, Alivia Robling; several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and many other very important people that blessed his life. A Celebration of Life service will be held 10:00 AM Monday August 13, 2018, at The Turning Pointe, 9800 Middle Mt.Vernon Rd. Evansville, IN 47712, officiated by Celebrant Carrie Hatchett. Friends may visit from 2-7:00 PM Sunday at The Turning Pointe, with a Masonic Service at 6:00 PM. Entombment will be in Alexander Memorial Park, 2200 Mesker Park Drive.
