David C. Jorgensen

He was a 1973 Reitz High School graduate. He worked for Evansville Truck Center (formally Kenworth) for 29 years. His customers always said if they were having a bad day all they had to do was call Dave and he would perk them up. His energetic, upbeat personality was appreciated by all. He was a favorite among employees and customers, and shared with a daily joke in the mornings.

Dave enjoyed golf, camping, and relaxing with friends and family. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, who will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have him be a part of their lives.

He is preceded in death by his parents Leroy and Deloris Jorgensen.

Dave is survived by his daughters and their fiancés, Becky Kasper (Todd Helfert) of Evansville, Dawn Jorgensen (Kelly Besing) of Oakland City; grandchildren, Kayla and Renee Kasper, Dylan Koleton, Trenton Besing; brothers, Nelsen (Donna), Herman (Pam), Roy (Fran), Jimmy, Kenny (Yvonne) Jorgensen; sisters, Sue and Shirley Jorgensen, Sheila Thomas (Jerome); many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, May 16, 2011 at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Doyle Eddings, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit from 1:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday, May 15th at the funeral home.
