David Gary Rinehart is conducting a choir of angels in the presence of his Lord and Savior, and the sound is glorious. David, 46, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016, along with his daughter, Sophie Grace Rinehart, and his mother, Ruth Ann Rinehart. David was born September 18, 1970, in Evansville, to Gary and Ruth Ann (Girton) Rinehart.

He was the worship and music pastor for more than 22 years at Crossroads Christian Church. My parents attended Crossroads for many years and always spoke highly of David. When my mother was dying she ask David to visit her and pray with her. When he arrived she was asleep, he called me and said a prayer with me. He also said he would be "honored " to speak at her funeral. I did not know David, but his eulogy was so personalized and was such a comfort to all of us. I found out that day what a wonderful man he was. My heartfelt sympathy extends to all who knew and cared for this man and his family.

I am so sorry to hear the loss of a husband, daughter and grandmother. May you find peace in your time of grieve and comfort from our Lord and Savior. Knowing they are up rejoicing with Jesus and singing their hearts out.. We know what grieve is, we lost our 17 yr old son in April of 2015. I've been in your shoes... May you look to the Lord and let him guide you through this storm of life. Your family will be in my forever prayers. Psalm 86:6 Hear my prayer,O Lord; listen to my cry for mercy.. He hears our cry and he knows our hearts are broken. Melinda Miller- Claypool IN

David it's hard not knowing that you are not in the world today. David was a light in a dark place. He was a man after Gods own heart. And we already missed not seeing any more of you by moving back to CA. But we do know that God has one of his best creations David Rinehart and his lovely Mom Ms. Ann, and a very talented daughter Sophie with many of the gifts God gave David. We still find it heart breaking that they all left this world so young and with so many God given gifts. All three of them are now in the presents of the Lord. Lord of Lords and King of Kings. We will miss you all and we will pray that the Rinehart family find what they need in God to come through there great loss. We love you and miss you.

I don't know your family personally but my heart aches for you. I am a Christian, my father is a retired minister of music, my mother a church organist, my sister a church pianist.....I guess I just feel a connection spiritually and musically and i truly ache for your pain but also rejoice in God's promise! I am praying for you and your family in this tragic loss to somehow receive peace. Love and prayers.
