

He was a member of the Methodist Temple church.
David was an avid collector and documenter of classic Rock, Blues, R&B and most genres of music, classic television and film as well as historic Evansville and pop-culture ephemera.
David was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Joan Derrington.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Marilyn Life Stubblefield; son, Jon Benjamin Lancaster; grandson, Cassius Life Lancaster; brother-in-law, Keith Derrington; and sister-in-law, Linda Life Jackson, brother-in-law, Patrick Jackson, their children Corey and Peter Jackson, grandchildren Noah and Josiah Jackson and great-grandchild Evan Jackson.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, October 6, 2025 at Methodist Temple UMC, 2109 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, IN 47714. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Entombment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Evansville, IN.
