

She spent most of her career in the banking industry, most notably serving as a bank manager at Union Federal Savings Bank. Davon later owned and operated her own house cleaning business. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her husband as they visited all 50 states except Alaska. They were both very involved with the Sojourners organization to help strengthen children’s homes, bible camps, Christian schools, and churches around the country. Her generosity, love of people, and commitment to serving others touched many lives.
Davon loved entertaining family and friends at dinner parties and had a passion for collecting antiques, particularly antique dishes. She was a devoted member of the Washington Avenue Church of Christ and will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, David Key; mother, Imogene McKim; and her two brothers, Gordon Hart and Ron Hart.
Davon is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ed Woodring; her sons, Michael (Meagan) Woodring, Robert Woodring; grandsons, Raiden, and Jett; sister, Paula (Gary) Staub; sister-in-law, Barbara Woodring; and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Minister David Rogers with burial to follow at Park Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
