He graduated from F.J. Reitz High School in 1968, and went on to receive his Bachelor's in Psychology from ISUE (USI). Dennis worked as a union ironworker, licensed insurance agent, and did census work for the federal government. He was a member of several community groups including a long-time member of the West Side Nut Club, Hadi Shrine, American Legion Funkhouser Post, River Bend Association, TKE Fraternity, West Side Sportsmens Club, Darmstadt Retirees, AFL-CIO Union, and the Ironworkers Union. Dennis was a 32nd degree Mason, and was active with Boy Scout Troop 399.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Woehler; sister, Sandra Pohl; brothers-in-law, Richard Pohl and Rodney Galloway.
He is survived by his children, Denny Woehler (Sara), Carrie Woehler, Dion Woehler, and Devon Woehler; grandchildren, Nathaniel Perigo, Lexi Perigo, Miles Chaney, Derek Woehler, and Camden Woehler; sister, Sharon Galloway, brother, Danny Woehler (Chris); sister-in-law, Pensri Woehler, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Friends and family are invited to gather for a memorial visitation from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois St., Evansville, IN 47712.
