

Rick was born on June 23, 1952, in Evansville to Dewey and Josie Carlisle. A lifelong resident of Evansville, Rick worked for Towne Air Freight as a truck driver until his retirement. During his career, he received numerous safety awards in recognition of his dedication and excellent driving record.
Rick married Katherine “Kathy” Mary Carlisle (née Culiver) in 1978, and they shared more than 45 years of marriage before her passing in April 2024.
Rick is survived by his sons, Donald R. Carlisle and Jason P. Carlisle; daughter-in-law, Tara L. Carlisle; grandchildren, Maia, Gage, Sabyn, and Lilah Carlisle; and sisters, Nancy Goode and Thetna Donohue. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews with whom he shared close relationships and greatly enjoyed spending time.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathy; his parents, Dewey and Josie Carlisle; and his sister, Betty Wetzel.
In his spare time, Rick enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, playing pool, and was a Scout Master for Troop 324 for many years. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and those closest to him.
A Funeral Service will be 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Ave., officiated by Rev. Larry Lewis, with burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Wadesville, IN. Family and friends may visit Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Rick will be remembered with love by his family and friends.
